Many train stations are rebuilt or renovated in recent years. I found them really ugly and present no local characteristic at all.
This food stall is at 10~15 minutes walking distance from the train station, it is also one of the spot to get a 319 township stamp.
Things are rather cheap in southern Taiwan. Most dishes are less than one euro.
The steamed rice with cabbage is the recommended specialty. Rice and soup cost only 35NT. If it's not enough, order some more small dishes such as pig guts or pig tongue, pig heart.
